T8 is a Hong Kong-based company founded by two avid runners to address the challenges of running in the region's hot and humid conditions.
Their mission is to create ultralight, supercool, chafe-free running gear optimized for tropical climates. T8's first product, Commandos running underwear, is designed to be super lightweight and chafe-free, addressing the limitations of built-in liners in standard running shorts. The name T8 comes from the Hong Kong Observatory's tropical cyclone warning system, where T8 signifies storms and typhoons with gusts exceeding 180kph. The brand's inspiration is rooted in the founders' experiences with Hong Kong's climate and typhoons, aiming to provide gear that performs well in such challenging conditions.
